New York-based Delos Insurance Group has named Alex A. Hammett senior vice president and chief actuary.
In his new role, Hammett will oversee all actuarial functions within Delos, which specializes in program business insurance. Hammett has over 15 years of experience in the insurance industry and has held a variety of pricing and reserving roles for all major lines during that time.
He most recently served as senior vice president with Arch Insurance, where he led the effort to build the corporate actuarial department and the enterprise risk management modeling framework. He has also held previous positions with PricewaterhouseCoopers and CIGNA in various pricing and reserving actuarial roles.
