PIANY Elects New Leadership

The Professional Insurance Agents of New York (PIANY) has elected new officers and directors for the organization.

Kevin Ryan, of The Valley Group Inc. in Kingston, has been elected president. Donna Chiapperino of Jimcor Agencies in Montvale, N.J.-headquartered, was named president-elect. Rich Savino, president and chief executive office of Warwick Resource Group, was elected first vice president. Michael Skeele, of Skeele Agency in DeRuyter, was re-elected vice president. David L. Sidle, of David L. Sidle Agency in Watkins Glen, was elected vice president. Alan Plafker, CEO of Member Brokerage Service in Plainview, will serve as treasurer. Eugene Sandy, marketing director of Millennium Alliance Group in Syosset, will serve as secretary. D. Scott Liebert, chairman of CLG Financial Corp. in Nanuet, will serve as immediate past president.

The group also elected the following directors:Paul Casciaro, Michael Cracco, Thom Iannicari, Peter Resnick, Leslie Rogoff, Eugene Sandy and Frances Scott of Campbell Hall.

In addition, PIANY presented Erik Nicolaysen III, with the group’s Distinguished Insurance Service award. Nicolaysen is president of the Nicolaysen Agency Inc. in Chappaqua. He was honored for his dedication to PIA and for his more than 50 years of work on behalf of the American agency system and PIANY.
