Ohio-based Westfield Insurance said it has expanded its commercial operations in Maryland, with new accounts being serviced from the company’s Pennsylvania office.
The firm said its existing surety accounts in Maryland will continue to be serviced out of the Richmond, Virginia service office.
Westfield has recently appointed 13 independent agencies to facilitate the expansion, it said. “We decided to expand operations to Maryland because of the significant opportunity to diversify and grow in businesses, markets and products,” said Rich Gajda, Westfield commercial lines leader.
