James Berliner has been elected president of the Professional Insurance Agents of Connecticut. He is president of Berliner-Gelfand & Co. Inc., in Bridgeport.
Other newly elected officers are Vice President Brian Schmitt Sr, who serves as president of Curtiss, Crandon & Moffette Inc. in Trumbull; Vice President Augusto Russell, a partner at May, Bonee & Walsh Inc. in East Berlin; Treasurer Peter Frascarelli, chief operating officer for the Peter M. Bakker Agency Inc., in Avon; and Secretary Teri Walsh, vice president of Sachs Walsh Insurance in Westport.
Howard Olderman, president of The Olderman and Hallihan Agency Inc. in Ansonia, will serve as immediate past president.
