O’Brien Joins Aon as Upstate New York, New England Resident Sales Director

Aon Risk Solutions, the global risk management business of Aon Corp., announced that Philip O’Brien has been appointed resident sales director of the New England and upstate New York region.

He is responsible for business development as well as providing “thoughtful and customized risk management advice to Aon clients.”

O’Brien has over 30 years of experience in the insurance arena, and spent time on both the carrier and brokerage sides of the business. He most recently served as vice president and global relationship leader for Zurich Financial Services, where he managed large global customers with a focus on client retention and growth as well as new client acquisition.

Prior to his role at Zurich, he was a managing director at Marsh for 23 years. O’Brien earned his bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the University of Maine and completed the executive program at Harvard Business School.
