Next Generation Insurance Group, a specialty agency with offices in Boston and Phoenix that focuses on the collegiate and young adult markets, has appointed Dennis Wentworth as senior vice president. He will be responsible for college and university relations.
Wentworth is a longtime sales strategist in the higher education field. He spent 11 years at Sallie Mae, most recently as president of Sallie Mae National Sales. In that role, he was responsible for the company’s higher education sales efforts for products and services across the country. (Sallie Mae is a public company that manages and services $238 billion in education loans and administers $37 billion in 529 college savings plans.)
Next Generation Insurance Group has also recently worked with Sallie Mae to help create Sallie Mae Insurance Services to offer insurance programs to colleges and universities, as well as to students and young adults.
Next Generation Insurance’s offerings currently include: GradGuard, an insurance and benefit services for college students and their families; CollegeRentersInsurance.com, which offers personal property and liability protection for college students; and StudentHealthPlan.com, an alternative to school-sponsored health insurance for full- and part-time and non-traditional students.
