Consumer Specialties Insurance Company, a risk retention group, appointed Ames & Gough Insurance/Risk Management Inc. as the new program manager for the CSI program.
CSI said it had been working with Hanna, Kremer & Tilghman Insurance. But it was sold to another agency that decided to withdraw from the program management business. The effective date for the transition to Ames & Gough is Dec. 1, 2011.
As the new program Manager for CSI, Ames & Gough will coordinate all risk selection and recruitment, serve as national broker, and issue policies for CSI. A&G will serve current policyholders and seek additional participants for the CSI program.
Ames & Gough is a specialty insurance broker based in McLean, Va., with additional offices in Boston and Philadelphia.
Consumer Specialties Insurance Company is a non-assessable risk retention group. It provides liability coverage for the chemical specialty industry and chemical distributors. CSI is domiciled in the state of Vermont.
