CNA Financial Corporation appointed Charles O’Donnell as commercial underwriting officer for its Boston branch office.
In this position, O’Donnell will add local underwriting leadership and technical underwriting capabilities to branch offices in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine. He will help strengthen relationships with producers and ensure that the full complement of CNA’s products and services are presented to every account, the company said.
O’Donnell comes to this position having previously served as commercial underwriting officer for CNA’s Dallas branch office where he was responsible for the states of Texas, Oklahoma and Arkansas.
He began his insurance career 25 years ago at The St. Paul Companies where he held various underwriting and management roles, including spending five years in its New England Service Center. He also served as vice president of Commercial Markets for Zurich Financial Services prior to joining CNA in 2009.
