California-based specialty insurance broker Alliant Insurance Services appointed Scott Ernst as New York-based vice president of T&H Brokers, a subsidiary.
Ernst is an industry veteran, bringing more than 24 years of experience as a producer to his new job. He is a multi-line producer specializing in technology and communications/media, advanced materials and manufacturing, and life sciences clients.
His previous experiences include serving as senior vice president at Hilb Rogal & Hobbs for five years. He was also a producer for a number of other regional and national insurance firms, including Chubb Insurance and Marsh.
Alliant said Ernst brings an extensive background in the technology industry to Alliant and T&H Brokers, and that his knowledge and established industry relationships will help expand the firm’s business in this specialized business sector.
Headquartered in Newport Beach, Calif., Alliant Insurance Services provides property and casualty, workers’ compensation, employee benefits, surety, and financial products and services to some 20,000 clients nationwide, including public entities, tribal nations, healthcare, energy, law firms, real estate, construction, and other industry groups.
