Heffernan Insurance Brokers, an independent insurance brokerage headquartered in Walnut Creek, Calif., has hired Elizabeth McMurray to join its Manhattan office in New York as account executive.
McMurray has over 20 years of industry experience. Her past responsibilities included developing, designing and implementing risk management, risk transfer and risk control programs for a range of businesses, including entertainment, manufacturing, private equity, real estate, retail, restaurants, and sports venues.
Heffernan Insurance Brokers, formed in 1988, offers property, liability, group medical insurance, personal insurance and financial services. Headquartered in Walnut Creek, Calif., Heffernan has 420 employees and maintains offices in San Francisco, Petaluma, Palo Alto, Los Angeles and Orange, Calif.; Portland, Ore.; St. Louis and New York.
