Marsh, the insurance broking division of Marsh & McLennan Cos., announced that Brenda Shelly, a veteran management liability broker and underwriter, has been appointed the firm’s new U.S. directors and officers liability (D&O) product leader.
In her new role, Shelly will be responsible for the development and delivery of technical expertise and content to Marsh clients and colleagues on D&O insurance coverage, litigation trends, and emerging issues.
During her career at Marsh, Shelly has held a variety of positions within its FINPRO practice, which specializes in financial and professional liability. Most recently she was the FINPRO growth leader for the Pacific North Partnership, which includes offices in San Francisco, San Jose, Seattle, Portland, Salt Lake City, and Denver; she has also served as FINPRO’s national technology practice leader and national IPO leader.
She began her insurance career in 1986 as a management liability underwriting manager at Stewart Smith East.
