The MEMIC Group, a workers’ compensation insurer headquartered in Portland, Maine, announced the promotion of Troy McLain to manager of Maine advocate operations.
In his new role as manager of Maine advocate operations, McLain will be responsible for day-to-day operations of MEMIC’s staff of insurance defense attorneys, as well as maintaining his own caseload of litigation files. He is admitted to the Maine Bar and is licensed to practice in both state and federal courts.
The MEMIC Group includes Maine Employers’ Mutual Insurance Company, MEMIC Indemnity Company and MEMIC Casualty Company. The MEMIC Group holds licenses to write workers’ compensation in 46 states plus the District of Columbia. The company insures nearly 20,000 employers and their estimated 250,000 employees.
