Cross Insurance, an insurance brokerage and subsidiary of Bangor, Maine-based Cross Financial Corp., announced the hiring of Mike Guarino as a producer in the firm’s Manchester, N.H. office.
Guarino has been in the commercial insurance field since 2002, with his main focus on managing risk for construction companies. Previously, he was at TD Insurance for about nine years. He has obtained his Construction Risk Insurance Specialist (CRIS) designation and his experience is concentrated on construction insurance claims, driving down a worker’s compensation modification, and risk transfer.
In his new role with Cross Insurance, Guarino will identify, prospect and sell commercial insurance to middle market construction accounts and other types of businesses. Once the prospect becomes a client, he will act as each client’s account manager.
Founded in 1954, Cross Insurance currently has approximately 500 employees, servicing over 22,000 customers throughout the New England region. The firm provides a wide range of insurance and financial products including personal and commercial insurance lines, employee benefits, surety bonds, comprehensive risk management advice and counsel, and specialized products focused on higher education and high net worth needs.
