FM Global has appointed Nicholas Batten as vice president, manager of global services at the company’s Johnston, R.I., headquarters.
In his new role, Batten serves as a key resource to FM Global’s operations worldwide in helping structure comprehensive global programs for multinational clients. He also oversees the governance of FM Global’s WorldReach insurance and service network and ensures the consistent and compliant delivery of the company’s underwriting, engineering and claims services.
Batten previously was assistant vice president, international practice leader for the company. He joined FM Global in 2000 as a client service representative in the company’s Windsor, UK office and then served as an account manager for several years in Stockholm, Sweden. He has held a variety of roles within the company since, each with increasing responsibility. Prior to joining FM Global, Batten worked in the financial services industry and as a retail broker.
Established in 1835, FM Global is a mutual insurance company providing comprehensive global commercial and industrial property insurance, engineering-driven underwriting and risk management services, property loss prevention research and claims handling.
