Cook Maran & Associates recently promoted Dan Edgett from commercial marketing representative to the newly created position of assistant manager in the commercial insurance department.
Edgett will assume his new position on September 1. He is based in the firm’s Southampton, N.Y., office.
In his new role, Edgett will be responsible for the Select Insurance Unit which specializes in businesses with fewer than 25 employees. He has been with Cook Maran’s commercial insurance department since 2009.
Cook Maran & Associates is an insurance agency staffed by more than 150 professionals and licensed in 48 states. It has offices in East Hampton, Southampton and Melville, N.Y. as well as in Marlton and Fair Lawn, N.J. Cook Maran was ranked 43rd in Insurance Journal‘s 2013 list of top privately-held property/casualty insurance agencies in the U.S.
