Magna Carta Cos. in New York has appointed Grace H. Yang as vice president and chief actuary. She will join Magna Carta’s senior management team and report directly to Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Andrew L. Furgatch.
Yang is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS) and Member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA). She has nearly 20 years of industry experience having served in a progression of actuarial positions with Milliman in America and the NMG Consulting Group in Asia. Most recently she was an independent consulting actuary working with FTI Consulting.
Magna Carta Cos. is a property/casualty insurance group writing $150 million of premium through Public Service Insurance Co., Paramount Insurance Co. and Western Select Insurance Co. Founded in 1925, Magna Carta celebrates its 90th anniversary of continuous service to policyholders this year.
