AmWINS Brokerage of the Mid Atlantic hired John Carlsen as senior vice president.
Carlsen specializes in public entity risks, with an emphasis on CAT/natural disaster exposures. Prior to joining AmWINS, he was executive vice president with NAPCO LLC, where he was employed for the past 17 years. Carlsen will be focusing on the production and marketing of shared and layered property programs, and will be based out of Edison, New Jersey.
In addition, AmWINS Brokerage of New York hired Jason Monteforte as senior vice president. Monteforte will be focusing on primary and excess casualty business, and will be based out of New York City.
Monteforte has more than 20 years of experience in the industry. Prior to joining AmWINS, he was senior vice president with R-T Specialty and has also worked for Arrowhead General, Marsh & McLennan, Liberty Mutual and AIG.
