Union Insurance Group, a Chicago-based commercial insurance agency specializing in property/casualty and professional liability products for labor organizations, announced that it has acquired The McLaughlin Company, an insurance agency in Rockville, Maryland. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
“We are delighted to welcome (The McLaughlin Company President and CEO) Ted Pappas and The McLaughlin Company’s entire team of experienced insurance professionals to Union Insurance Group,” Union Insurance Group President Christopher DeCaigny said on Aug. 1. The McLaughlin Company has 14 staff members, according to the agency’s website.
Since 1997, Union Insurance Group has been providing commercial insurance including property/casualty and professional liability coverage to labor organizations of various sizes including: locals, regional/state/district councils, joint apprenticeship training centers,Taft-Hartley multi-employer trust funds and international unions.
