Meeker Sharkey & Hurley, a Cranford, New Jersey-based provider of employee benefits and insurance services, has hired Richard Ambrose as senior vice president, Employee Benefits Practice leader.
In his new role, Ambrose will lead the growth and development of the agency’s employee benefits practice for middle-market and large businesses.
Ambrose brings 30 years of experience as an employee benefits specialist serving middle-market employers, professional services firms and group insurance accounts. Most recently, Ambrose was associate director of Employee Benefits at Crystal & Company. He also previously worked for Wells Fargo Insurance Services, Zurich North America, Liberty Mutual and Blue Cross of New Jersey.
Meeker Sharkey & Hurley is an independent insurance agency created in 2014 when Meeker Sharkey Associates in Cranford merged with James F. Hurley Insurance Agency in Bedminster, New Jersey. Meeker Sharkey & Hurley provides personal and commercial insurance coverages, employee benefits and risk management services. The agency employs approximately 30 staff members.
