Arch Reinsurance Company has hired John Willemsen and Bill Hopkins as managing directors for its underwriting team in Morristown, New Jersey.
Willemsen joins Arch Re with over 30 years of experience, most recently as head of the development of the Programs business at Munich Re. He will help develop and expand Arch Re’s Programs business.
Hopkins will help to strengthen the Professional Lines unit. Prior to joining Arch Re, Hopkins was head of the Financial Lines portfolio at AIG Cat Excess.
Arch Re is the U.S. reinsurance operating platform of Arch Capital Group Ltd., a Bermuda-based public limited liability company writing insurance and reinsurance through operations in Bermuda, U.S., Canada, Europe, Australia and South Africa, with a focus on specialty lines.
