Compare.com, an auto insurance comparison website, said it will expand its Glen Allen, Virginia, headquarters and move into a larger office to accommodate its continued growth.
The new headquarters office on 140 East Shore Drive will feature 26,000 square feet of office space, three times the size of the current office on 201 Concourse Boulevard, Compare.com said. The relocation will begin during the 2016 third quarter.
Compare.com said it has hired more than 10 new employees so far this year. The company currently has 62 employees in the U.S. and plans to grow its workforce by additional 40 percent by the end of 2017.
Compare.com is majority-owned by U.K. auto insurer Admiral Group. It has also received investments from White Mountains and MAPFRE.
The company currently offers car insurance comparison services for consumers in 48 states. The company said it began national advertising in 2016 and is working with 80 insurance brands with more anticipated to sign on. Since its launch in March 2013, Compare.com has returned over 2.5 million quotes.
