XS Brokers, a Quincy, Mass., headquartered independent insurance brokerage, has hired Jason Kent as a broker in the firm’s Connecticut office.
His hiring comes as the firm has seen continued growth in its Connecticut, New York and New Jersey territories, according to CEO and President Adam Devine. In his new role, Kent will be responsible for expanding the firm’s footprint in both existing and new territories and continuing to maintain the retail agency relationships he has built.
Prior to joining XS Brokers, Kent served in underwriting and leadership roles at Chubb Insurance in Simsbury, Conn., Denver, Colo., and most recently, Indianapolis, Ind.
Going forward, XS Brokers plans to hire five to 10 additional employees, primarily at its newest office in Pennsylvania.
