NSI Insurance Group, a Miami Lakes, Florida, based privately held insurance agency, has acquired KMH Insurance Services, a New York based specialty insurance broker focused on serving marine and equine customers. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
KMH president Kathryn Hoff and the company’s employees based in its Hamptons, New York City and New Jersey offices will immediately join NSI Insurance Group following the acquisition, which will serve to expand NSI’s presence throughout the Northeast.
KMH specializes in insuring commercial marine vessels, commercial marine liability, luxury boats and personal watercraft. It also has carved a niche in equine insurance.
NSI specializes in risk management and insurance services for a variety of industries. The company also markets under Excursioninsurance.com, which provides a platform for all categories of cruise industry tour operators to secure insurance coverage that is compliant with the requirements of major cruise lines.
