Global insurance broker Marsh has hired David Hewett as a U.S. contract surety leader in its construction practice.
In this newly created role, Hewett will work closely with Marsh’s surety practice to deliver solutions to construction clients across the U.S. He will report to David Marino, U.S. construction leader at Marsh. Hewett is based in Baltimore, Md.
Hewett brings 24 years of construction surety experience to Marsh. He most recently served as president of XL Surety, and prior to that, he worked at Zurich North America Insurance. While there, he served as executive vice president leading its North American domestic surety operation.
