New Jersey’s Selective Insurance Company of America Appoints New Officers

Selective Insurance Company of America, the Branchville, N.J., headquartered subsidiary of Selective Insurance Group Inc., has made five new officer appointments.

The company has appointed Rohan Pai to senior vice president of investor relations and treasury. He joined Selective in October 2016 and previously served as director of corporate finance for Renaissance Re Holdings Ltd.

Michael Lucas has also been appointed to vice president of underwriting after joining Selective in August 2016. Prior to that, he served as vice president and manager of industry practices at Liberty Mutual.

Brian Tallman initially joined Selective in September 2016 and has been appointed to vice president of organizational effectiveness and leadership development. Before joining Selective, he served as senior HR director for leadership development and global HR transformation at Unilever.

Additionally, Selective appointed Betty Johnson to assistant vice president of actuarial pricing. Johnson has been with the firm since 2007, and prior to that, she served as assistant vice president at Crum & Forster.

Finally, Robert Stark has been appointed to assistant vice president of facilities and business continuity. Stark joined Selective in August 2016 and served as a director at Cushman & Wakefield prior to that.

Selective Insurance Group Inc. is a holding company for ten property and casualty insurance companies. Through independent agents, the insurance companies offer standard and specialty insurance for commercial and personal risks and flood insurance underwritten by the National Flood Insurance Program.
