Paragon Insurance Holdings LLC (Paragon), an Avon, Conn.-based multi-line specialty program manager, has added Justin Faust to the Paragon executive management team as Chief Financial Officer.
“Justin will lead Paragon’s efforts to enhance its rapid organic expansion through the acquisition of complementary managing general agencies, while exploring alternatives to optimize Paragon’s capital structure,” said Paragon Managing Partner Ron Ganiats in a company press release. “His corporate finance background and longstanding relationships in the insurance industry are strong additions to our existing executive team.”
Prior to joining Paragon, Faust was CFO of Dowling Capital Partners, an insurance industry-focused private equity firm. He will continue acting as senior advisor to DCP, serving on the boards of directors of several of its portfolio companies.
He brings nearly 20 years of experience as an insurance industry investor and investment banker, including M&A advisory and capital markets roles with Guy Carpenter’s investment banking division (now GC Securities) and Hales & Company (now Dowling Hales), as well as principal investing duties with alternative asset manager Northaven Management.
Formed in 2014 as a diversified MGA (managing general agency), Paragon supports retail agents, insurance carriers and reinsurers.
