30/60/25 would make more sense. Delaware is in the dark ages on Auto limits.

I agree with the first part of your comment, but at least it’s an improvement!

Most of Delaware is indeed still in the dark ages. I lived there long enough to know. :)

An improvement to less mediocrity. I am sure there are plenty of Allstate and Farmers agents selling those minimum limits. All decent agents would recommend more.

Initially a higher amount was passed. It was amended down to this amount. Very little press on this, and it will not impact anyone until AFTER elections.

I received the letter stating that change takes effect when policy is renewed.

Who would want $10,000 for PD? You can’t buy a new car for less than that any more. I recommend a minimum of $100,000 for my clients, we have two interstates in town and a whole boatload of semi’s! Plus, a new truck around here runs over $40,000 for 1/2 tons let alone 1 ton trucks.

Unfortunately the marketing for auto insurance encourages thrift and paying the lowest price possible. People are not thinking about “what if.” We have a serious non compliance problem in Delaware and un/inderinsured motorists coverage is not mandatory!

It is a horrible feeling when a client who has an accident gets a letter advising that they begin to retain their own attorney because the liklihood of settling the claim for the limits purchased is poor. As an agent, I encourage clients to buy as much liability coverage as they possibly can and then look to lower costs by raising deductibes and taking defensive driving classes and other available ways to save.

Unfortunately some people feel that excess of minimal coverage is not a good use of their money and insist on minimums. One client I have drives a Mercedes Benz and enjoys a comfortable retirement but will not budge on the minimum limits. As a producer I protect myself with documentation, people caught in financial trouble due to poor coverage often lash out at the agent for not selling better coverage. Sometimes a Jury buysit!

Allstate is hitting my pockets of another $400 a year more.
Don’t know how this is going to work. My budget will not allow any more monies for this.
I would be in better shape if: Wilmington Family court could help me find my EX’s place of employment. This was stated by the judge in my divorce paperwork. Lets see round it off here $ 7,500 judge {N} “can’t put his name”.he said she owes me as well instrest from 2009 accruing at the legal rate to now. On $7,500. ???? answer is They don’t care.
