Risk Placement Services Announces Opening of Massachusetts Branch Office

Risk Placement Services (RPS) has announced the opening of a branch office in Hopkinton, Mass. RPS is a managing general agent, underwriting manager and nationally focused wholesale insurance broker.

Rich Martino is executive vice president and branch manager of the Hopkinton office and will be joined there by Nancie Culley and Tammy Cole. The office plans to immediately begin adding associates to fulfill its anticipated growth, Martino said in a company press release.

Martino has been underwriting excess and surplus lines since 1988. His last position was as the executive vice president for Insurance Innovators Agency of New England Inc., which was purchased by AmWINS Access in August of 2015.

Culley has been underwriting excess and surplus lines insurance since 1992 and previously served as senior vice president for Insurance Innovators Agency of New England Inc. Cole has been working in the excess and surplus lines insurance business since 1999 and previously served as a senior associate underwriter for Insurance Innovators Agency of New England Inc.

RPS’ Hopkinton office specializes in binding authority accounts in both commercial and personal lines and underwriting on behalf of more than 10 binding authority companies, Martino added in the release. It is seeking to continue working with its existing brokers and partners, as well as foster new relationships in the future, he stated in the release.
