A tornado warning in Massachusetts has expired, and meteorologists from the National Weather Service are surveying building damage that may have been caused by a tornado.
Extensive damage to buildings and trees are reported in parts of central Massachusetts on Saturday morning, including in Webster, where buildings have suffered structural damage.
Fire officials headed to Webster to assess damage, along with meteorologists from NWS.
More than 4,250 Worcester County residents were without power. The storm uprooted trees and brought as much as two inches to the area within 30 minutes.
Representatives from the National Weather Service said strong to severe thunderstorms with potentially damaging wind gusts would continue as showers moved eastward.
