A New York man charged in the killing of his girlfriend’s mother for insurance money has pleaded guilty.
WHEC-TV in Rochester reports Knowledge Couser entered his plea Thursday to murder charges in connection with the death of 52-year-old Julie Martin.
Martin was found dead inside her home in the Wayne County town of Ontario in February 2017. Court documents show she was smothered with a pillow.
Martin’s 23-year-old daughter Jasmine Harlee and Couser’s 19-year-old brother Davontae Devine previously pleaded guilty to murder charges. Each faces 20 years to life in prison.
Nineteen-year-old Malquan Drayton pleaded guilty to robbery charges in connection to the crime.
Couser faces 20 years to life in prison during his sentencing in October.
