Authorities say two people were seriously injured when a plane crashed near a small airport south of Boston, Mass.
NBC Boston reports the small plane crashed near Cranland Airport in Hanson on Thursday afternoon and left two people trapped in the wreckage.
Rescue crews removed them from the plane and transported them by helicopter to nearby hospitals. Both were in serious condition.

The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board are both investigating the crash.
