The Hilb Group LLC (THG) has acquired D’Camera Group (DG). The transaction became effective January 1, 2019.
Located in Annapolis, Md., DG is a full-service insurance agency founded in 2006 and primarily provides property and casualty insurance in the Mid-Atlantic region. DG Agency President Dean D’Camera and his associates will join THG’s Mid-Atlantic operations following the acquisition.
The Hilb Group is a middle market insurance agency headquartered in Richmond, Va., and is a portfolio company of Boston-based private equity firm, Abry Partners. It aims to grow through targeted acquisitions in the middle market insurance brokerage space. The company now has 68 offices in 17 states.
