Maine Marketing Firm Settles Lawsuit with Employee Claiming She Was Drugged

March 18, 2019

A Maine marketing firm has settled a lawsuit with a former employee who claimed she was drugged at a company party and fired after requesting accommodations to recover.

The Portland Press Herald reports an attorney for Trueline Publishing told the court both parties reached a settlement.

Both the company attorney and the attorney for the former employee declined to comment on the terms of the settlement.

Diana Salas sued the firm last year saying she feared she was drugged at a company party in 2016.

She says she was diagnosed with stress disorders as a result, and she was fired after asking for permission to work from home.

The firm denies her firing was retaliatory, and it says police found there was no evidence anyone tampered with Salas’ drinks.
