Associated Mutual Insurance Cooperative of New York has hired Edward W. Scannell III as vice president of Underwriting.
Scannell has more than 35 years of experience in the property and casualty industry as an underwriter, profit center head, agency owner and producer and senior executive.
He has worked in the New York mutual company space since 2013 and has developed relationships with retail agents, aggregators and wholesalers throughout the Associated Mutual operating footprint.
In his new role, he will help lead the strategic direction of the company as it seeks to profitably grow with its agency partners.
