Alera Group, a national insurance firm, has acquired Comprehensive Benefit Administrators (CBA), effective Aug. 1, 2019. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
CBA, located in Norwell, Mass., specializes in brokerage services, claims administration and enrollment, designing tailored benefit plans for its clients.
All CBA employees will continue operating out of the firm’s existing locations under the name Comprehensive Benefit Administrators, an Alera Group Company, LLC.
Alera Group was formed in early 2017 and is an independent insurance agency. Based in Deerfield, Ill., Alera Group’s over 1,700 employees serve thousands of clients nationally in employee benefits, property and casualty, risk management and wealth management.
