EverQuote Inc., a Cambridge, Mass.-based, online insurance marketplace in the U.S., has hired Shivi Shankaran as executive vice president of Commercial Insurance and Special Projects.
Shankaran previously spent nearly 15 years in various roles at Amazon. Before this, he worked as a senior software engineer at Netscape.
His tenure at Amazon in a period of growth in its Global Operations organization will enable him to accelerate EverQuote’s entry into new verticals and expand opportunities, according to EverQuote Co-Founder and CEO Seth Birnbaum in a company press release.
