World Insurance Associates LLC (WIA) acquired Danaher-Skewes & Associates Inc. of Manassas, Va., on November 1, 2020. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Established in 1963, Danaher-Skewes is an independent insurance agency, serving residents and businesses in Alexandria, Va., Manassas, Va., Fredericksburg, Va., and surrounding areas.
WIA is headquartered in Tinton Falls, N.J., and is a full-service insurance brokerage providing asset and lifestyle protection with risk management, insurance and benefit consulting services for individuals and businesses.
Since its founding in 2012, WIA has completed 81 acquisitions and serves its customers from 73 offices in 15 states and Washington, D.C.
Giordano, Halleran & Ciesla provided legal counsel, and TAG Consulting Services advised WIA on the transaction. Schnader Harrison Segal & Lewis provided legal counsel, and Sica Fletcher advised Danaher-Skewes on the transaction. No other advisors, diligence firms or legal counsel were disclosed.
