Two dozen vehicles were damaged in what authorities are calling a suspicious fire at a condo complex in Essex.
Essex police say the carport on Densmore Drive was engulfed in flames early Saturday morning. Firefighters were able to put out the fire before it could spread to nearby buildings, but 24 vehicles were damaged, including some that were destroyed. The nearby condo building also suffered some heat damage and broken windows.
Authorities say the fire appears to have started inside one vehicle and quickly spread to the others.
