Denver-based insurance brokerage IMA Financial Group reports it is expanding its employee benefits practice nationally with the acquisition of EBS Insurance Brokers of Newton, Massachusetts.
EBS and its 30 employees offer health and welfare plan administration, executive and international benefits and financial services. Paul J. Rooney is an EBS founder and managing partner.
EBS Insurance Brokers will become EBS, an IMA Company, and its leadership team and associates will continue to operate out of the company’s headquarters in Newton.
Jacque Roth, IMA president of employee benefits, said EBS’ team will enhance IMA’s capacity to respond to clients’ needs at a time when employers are seeking “ways to balance a tight labor market, hybrid work and an increased focus on associates’ physical and emotional well-being.”
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Majority employee-owned IMA Financial Group, Inc. is a national financial services company with 2,300-plus associates in offices across the country. It has several affiliates including retail insurance broker IMA; small business and personal lines broker IMA Select; wholesale insurance broker Towerstone; program manager Eydent Insurance Services, and insurtech highwing.
