Glastonbury, Connecticut-based Smith Brothers Insurance LLC announced that it acquired Charter Oak Agency effective July 1, 2025.
Charter Oak Agency, an independent insurance agency with offices in Westport and Derby, Connecticut, will retain these locations, further strengthening Smith Brothers footprint in southern Connecticut.
Marissa Barbera, president and owner of Charter Oak Insurance Agency, and her team will join Smith Brothers Insurance.
Smith Brothers Insurance is an independently operated insurance broker with more than 250 professionals to help protect clients from risk and uncertainty. Smith Brothers is licensed in every state and has offices throughout Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Jersey, and New York.
