Ames & Gough, headquartered in McLean, Virginia, appointed Lauren Martin and Jessie Witherow as vice presidents and of Nicole Gonzalez and Katie O’Brien as assistant vice presidents. All four executives are based in the firm’s Washington, D.C., office.

Martin joined Ames & Gough in 2021 as a risk management and claims specialist focusing on the firm’s architect and engineer accounts. She previously served nearly 35 years at CNA, where she was appointed as architects/engineers platinum accounts director in 2018. For more than 30 years she was directly responsible for handling architect and engineer errors and omissions claims.

Witherow leads the Ames & Gough Premier Select Team, which focuses on small market clients. She joined the firm in 2006, served several years as senior account manager and was promoted to assistant vice president in 2019.

Gonzalez, an account executive, joined Ames & Gough in 2015 and was appointed account administrator a year later. In 2019, she became a senior account manager serving in both the architects/engineers and associations/non-profits divisions, was promoted to senior broker in 2021 and a year later was elevated to her current role.

O’Brien has more than 25 years of insurance industry experience. An account executive at Ames & Gough, she joined the firm in 2014. She began her career in 1998 as a policy services representative with USAA and subsequently served as an account manager with a regional insurance agency and was the owner of an Allstate agency.
