Keystone, an Aon company headquartered in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, will appoint Mike Walsh as president in the coming months. Patrick Kinney will continue to serve as CEO of the independent agency network and platform during this period.
Once the transition is complete, Walsh will assume the role of CEO, and Kinney will move to the Keystone board of directors. The company said the phased approach is intended to preserve organizational continuity.
Walsh spent his career building and growing insurance businesses. He has served in several leadership roles since joining NFP in 2015, including president of commercial property and casualty since August 2024. Before joining NFP, he was president and CEO at Hackett, Valine & MacDonald, Inc., a Vermont agency acquired by NFP in 2015.
SageSure Names Sence Chief Sales Officer
SageSure, a managing general underwriter focused on catastrophe-exposed property, has appointed John Sence as chief sales officer.

Sence’s career has included experience in both underwriting and agency operations. He has spent 14 years in the independent agency system, where he built his own book of business and managed sales teams. Sence joins from the Cincinnati Insurance Companies where he most recently served as vice president of personal lines national sales, focusing on middle and high-net-worth markets at the Cincinnati Insurance Companies. He will oversee sales strategy, distribution expansion and high-impact producer engagement.
