Tempest Re Appoints New Head

Tempest Reinsurance Co. Ltd., subsidiary of ACE Limited, announced the appointment of Wayne A. Daniel to head the London office, which oversees European and Asian operations. He is expected to head the expansion of Tempest’s multiline business in both areas.

Daniel previously held senior positions at M & G Re, Liberty Re and most recently headed ERC Frankona’s Life and Health reinsurance operations in London. His initial responsibility involves setting up a business plan for Tempest, recruiting a professional team and “determining the optimal structure and focus of the London-based operation,” the announcement stated.
