The Elmonda Group has acquired the American assistance and travel insurance group World Access Inc.
The acquisition in the U.S. market strengthens the position of the combined Swiss company Elvia Travel and the French group Mondial Assistance as a world leader in travel insurance and assistance.
Elmonda is a subsidiary of the French insurance company A.G.F. and the Italian insurance company R.A.S., both within the Allianz Group.
The acquisition has strategic importance for Elmonda as it provides access to the U.S. market of customer service to corporate clients in various sectors. It also ensures the future development of World Access, which will be supported by a financially powerful international insurance group.
