The St. Paul International Insurance Co., a subsidiary of The St. Paul Companies, announced that it had completed the purchase of Australia Pacific Professional Indemnity Insurance Co.,Ltd.(APPIIL), enlarging the company’s professional liability program.
The purchase increases the number of lawyers it insures by about 2000, and adds a Queensland branch to its Australian operations,which are headquartered in Sydney.
Peter Lepparde, head of St. Paul for Australia indicated that the APPIIL employees in Brisbane would join the group “which guarantees a continuing high level of service to the Queensland Law Society.
