InsureCargo.com, which is affiliated with Allianz’ subsidiary Fireman’s Fund, has entered into a “strategic partnership” with GoTradeSeafood.com, the largest “Internet negotiation platform for the global business-to- business seafood market” to offer “instant online quotations, payment, and issuance of the policy.”
The companies described the system as a first of its kind, insuring payment, quality and delivery “in a safe online trading environment with GoTradeSeafood’s Safe Harbor supply chain platform,” a series of partnerships which handle financing, credit reports, insurance and logistics for 2700 member companies, trading seafood worth around $ 140 million a month.
InsureCargo.com is the first U.S. based insurer to go on line with cargo insurance. Fireman’s Fund provides ” the security and global claims services for InsureCargo’s policies.”
