AIG Ukraine Insurance Co., a wholly owned subsidiary of American International Group has received a triple ‘A’ financial strength rating from Standard & Poor’s following an extensive and voluntary review of its operations.
S&P said it based the high rating on a guarantee of AIG Ukraine from National Union Fire Insurance Co., another AIG subsidiary.
Based in the Ukrainian capital Kiev, AIG Ukraine insures “foreign investors and their staffs, major Ukrainian enterprises (particularly with export activities), and individuals for travel and accident insurance.”
