Medical Advisory Systems, which for 20 years has been one of the leaders in providing offshore medical services through telephone and Internet connections, announced that it would offer a new travel assistance program, “Travelers’ Angel,” for the more than 40 million Americans who travel overseas each year.
The comprehensive plan was conceived as a result of MAS’ experience in the travel industry, and is backed by its alliance with the French Group CORIS. The company will make the coverage available through travel agents as part of any trip package.
MAS stated that benefits would include:
– Guaranteed Payment of Hospital Expenses
– Trip Cancellation/Interruption Insurance
– Rental Car Accident Insurance
-Air Flight Accident Insurance
-Baggage Loss/Delay Insurance
– Medical referral
-Legal referral
-Emergency Cash Transfer
– Pre-Travel Advice
– Lost Tickets and passport Assistance
– Emergency Prescription refill Assistance
In addition “Policy holders will also have access to a Help Desk, which will enable them to speak with an American physician 24-hours-a-day, 7 days-a-week, from anywhere in the world.”
