The Netherlands ING Groep N.V. announced that it has appointed Jacques Kemp as chief executive for the Asia-Pacific region, succeeding Phil Shirriff who is retiring from the post at the end of March.
“Kemp joined the executive committee of ING Asia-Pacific in July, and has been based in Hong Kong since August. Before that, he held various positions within ING, including being executive committee member of ING’s corporate and investment banking unit and global head of e-business,” said the bulletin.
ING noted that Shirriff will continue to serve on the board of a number of ING’s Australian operations.
