The Netherlands AEGON N.V. announced the appointment of Bas Snijders, 43, as Senior Vice-President for Group Treasury, reporting to Michiel van Katwijk. He will assume his duties this summer.
“Bas Snijders has worked for SNS Bank as Director of Funding for over four years. Under his responsibility the bank significantly expanded its presence in international capital markets,” said the bulletin. Before joining SNS he worked for Barclays Capital in London, and in various positions in investment banking with ABN AMRO Bank, Chase Manhattan and Barclays.
